Howard Pressman, CFP® Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Howard Pressman was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Capital Area chapter of the Financial Planning Association. This award is given to recognize service to the FPA or the financial planning profession through local and   national service.

Howard joined the FPA in 2005 after receiving the Certified Financial Planner® designation. Howard says that it was the best way to connect with and learn from the smartest people in the profession. Happily, it was his membership in the FPA that led to him meeting Bryan Beatty and joining EBW in 2009.

Soon after joining EBW, Howard also joined the Board of Directors for the FPA’s National Capital Area chapter eventually serving as its President in 2018. In January of 2019, Howard was asked to join a national task force which sought to reimagine the future of the FPA. In 2022 Howard was asked to be the Chairman of the task force which delivered its recommendations to the national FPA Board of Directors in December of 2022.

“It’s been a lot of work and a lot of time, but I have loved being able to give something to a profession that has given me so much.” says Howard. “I want to ensure that future generations of financial planners have a strong, robust and relevant professional association to connect with and to learn and grow with.”
